I am a qualified hypnotherapist based in Brighton, and a full member of the British Institute of Hypnotherapy, I started my training in 2005, and am currently employed as a support tutor for students with specific learning difficulties at Sussex University. I use relaxation and NLP techniques to enable my students to feel confident in taking their examination, including providing strategies to enable students to structure and organise their learning. I also have specific qualifications and much direct experience in Dyslexia support.
I have had a keen interest in hypnosis for the last 25 years, and have used hypnosis for a variety of conditions. My niece who lives with me has epilepsy, she has had grand and petit mal seizures for much of her life, I have used hypnotherapy successfully to help her deal with the unwanted anxiety that is left after seizures. I also used hypnosis for phobia's and panic attacks. Current research supports the use of hypnosis for an enormously wide range of conditions. I will be posting links for more information on the latest research in the next few months.
I approach my work in a way that gives the client a non threatening, warm and friendly environment to relax in, and that forms the basis to allow them to "re-image" certain situations or conditions in their life, and thus gives the client a method, or framework, to "re-frame" their their present circumstances, and therefore "move on".
