One of the great ideas I got from Daniel Pink's book, (A Whole New Mind)i (see quickfind:80712 for the review) was drawing 5 line portraits.

The idea is that you draw a portrait of yourself (or someone else) using only 5 lines. It's an activity I understand is used frequently in design schools to encourage simplicity and creativity. It will certainly stimulate right brain activity.

You can also see the portraits as visual metaphors. What does the portrait say about you by how it looks and how you prepared it? If you were to do a 5 line of someone else, what would you emphasis?

One of my own 5 line portraits of me is in the 'Photos' part of my profile for those who want to see a sample. What does the metaphor say to you?

I am happy to take requests for 5 line portraits which I will post on the forum if people would like.

What would your portrait look like? A great opportunity for those of you with web sites to attract people from here to go and have a look at the site (and perhaps browse further).

I look forward to seeing some fun stuff.

Cheers

Carl
