Hi

Was thinking about this last night and thought it would be an interesting discussion topic!

I loved all the material around metaphor on my nlp training.

At the time I was finding news ways of managing my life after a cancer diagnosis.

I realised that thinking in terms of different metaphors was already something I was doing, and I kept on playing with different ideas.

I rejected the 'battle' metaphor immediately as it instinctively felt wrong for me. For a while I engaged in a competitive game of football. The metaphor then changed to a 'journey' and then a 'playground' became the place I visited.

Wonderful if I ever felt 'stuck' - I just told myself a 'story'!

What about your experiences using metaphor?

Gill
