Hi all,

I'm curious to know about your assessment experiences and what you regard as good assessment practice. You could see this as a plug for our approach but I am genuinely curious about different methodologies and best practice.

On our courses we are actively looking for the following and giving individual feedback and 1-2-1 coaching as appropriate. What happened with you and what do you regard as best practice?

I quote from our course material:

AWARENESS

Sensory accuity. Do you notice what is going on in yourself and others? What are you noticing more of since the course started it and how are you using this in the service of yourself and others?

RAPPORT

Can you join the person you are working with in their map of the world? Can you do this without judgement? Can you do this with curiosity and respect?

FLEXIBILITY

How flexible are you in your behaviour? How have you developed your behaviourial flexibility throughout the course?

ENGAGEMENT

How much are you engaging in your learning and the support of others learning? Are you actively trying out the tools and techniques and discovering how best to make them work for yourself and others?

PROCESS

NLP is fundamentally about process, not content. How are you at staying out of content and keeping your own ideas, suggestions, beliefs and opinions to yourself?

And remember that we are looking for people to have started the journey and gained their own momentum. We are not looking for expertise or mastery but a willingness to take new steps in different directions. The training course is just the start. How are you starting?

Cheers

Paul
