NLP Vs The Law?

Hi all,

I picked up a copy of ‘Change your life in 7 days’ by Paul McKenna just for fun really after reading a few Bandler books. I thought it would be saying basically the same things as what I learnt on the Practitioner course with McKenna and Bandler - which for the first few chapters it does, but then…. I was shocked….

In the chapter ‘ Creating Money’ there is a subtitle; ‘The Law of Attraction’. He then goes on to describe events etc which are almost identical to those which they describe in the film ‘The Secret’ . I didn’t think that Paul McKenna and NLPers in general would have such a belief….! (Talking about a friend who can visualize spaces in a car park!!!?????)

I personally thought that ’The Secret’ was a good film, a little bit silly, but really its about the Subconscious mind ---> it just comes as a bit of a shock that Paul McKenna fully believes in the law of attraction.

What is everyone else’s take on the ‘law’? I know there was probably a discussion about this when that film first came out but the search function on the forum doesn’t seem to be working today…

many thanks
