The drugs don't work?

I'd just spotted a news story that claims that most "antidepressants" don't work.
However,they are still being touted as being responsible for a rise in suicide of teenagers taking them.
IMO this is evidence of them removing the depression,merely of this being a bad idea in the cases of people who have not evolved workable coping strategies;any thoughts?
