UK Statutory Regulation - NLP

Health Profession Council

Channel 4 - News - Regulation called for hypnotherapy

There seems to be a a push to get Psychotherapists regulated in the UK. Hypnotherapy is going down the same road. And some people in the coaching field are pushing for regulation too.

What this means in reality is that any NLPeople working in these fields will be affected. Does that mean we have to register with a separate governing body for hypnotherapy, a separate one for fixing phobias and anxieties and a separate one for coaching? Each on will have its own accredited courses (some run on for years) and fees.

I know NLP is not therapy but we do deal with people who may have otherwise gone to therapy.
