Could you say that you found NLP as a result of your natural curiosity?

What else had you read, investigated and studied that led to you finding NLP?

For me the first time I read about NLP was in a book on martial arts. It was in a self-defence book with close to 300 pages with no illustrations. It mentioned peoples' 'operating systems' and thats where NLP came in...
