On another thread a discussion has highlighted that there are 'myths' within the field of NLP, or more specifically, total inaccuracies.
That particular thread discussed how the idea that
'Basque folk do not demonstrate eye accessing cues' is
not true... even though it is still repeated in mainstream NLP books.
So here's the discussion point which I feel will also act as a public service to all us NLPr's...
- What other myths exist?
- What other inaccuracies need to be corrected?
Now, in the interests of a great learning experience for all, I humbly request one small favour, lets keep this simple - in other words...
"This is what was thought to be the case"
followed by...
"This is what is actually the case" Let the learning begin...
