anything you're going to remember is transferred from short-term to long-term memory during a
deep-sleep cycle.
This means that to facilitate learning and memory, you not only have to sleep, but y
ou've got to sleep at least 4 (consecutive) hours for your memories to go from 'short-term parking' to 'long-term storage'.
So the next time you're contemplating a long night out after attending that expensive training session, why not sleep in instead, so your money's well spent on something you'll actually remember?
