I was wondering whether I was right in thinking that trance is an accelerated learning state. Could that be a valid definition of trance?

If so, I was also wondering how much NLP one could learn via auto-suggestion whilst in trance. For instance, I understand the NLP presuppositions at some level, but I fully realise that in my day to day activity I do not ''embody'' them. Would structuring suggestions about particular presuppositions for myself in self-hypnosis allow me to fully understand and embody them?

And what are the limits of this approach? Could one learn at an accelerated rate material for academic subjects whilst in trance? Or is the unconscious mind not very good at understanding linear, logical language?

And finally if anyone has any advice about the best way to structure suggestions in general I'd be very interested to hear. Is it that the more sensory-based, metaphorical, symbolic language works best?

Any ideas'd be great. Cheers,

Alistair
