For the last few days my connection to NLP connections has been very patchy. At times will take 5 or 6 tries to see a new page. Other times it works perfectly and then sometimes it doesn't work at all.

None of the other sites I use regularly seem to have problems so I don't think it is my connection.

I have also checked it on 2 machines using different firewalls and different virus software so I don't think these are to blame.

Nothing over and above general ISP problems.

I expect Nick has had trouble with the New Forrest ponies running across the telephone cables.

I threw some more sugar cubes at the ponies and they stopped nibbling the string between my tin cans. Trouble is at this rate their teeth will be in a terrible state.......have you ever tried to find a national health dentist for a pony on a Friday evening? I guess they will have to go private but their income has dropped to zilch since they stopped working down the pit..... they will be asking to borrow a few quid from me again.....they always promise to pay it back but never seem to have any money on them....nowhere to keep it I suppose.





It was very odd, 23rd and 24th it was dreadful but this morning all is back to normal. I had changed my anti virus and firewall on my desktop machine and thought it might be that but I checked it out on my laptop and the problem was the same. All other sites were unaffected. The problem was not on the home page but when selecting one of the php links. The other main forum site that I use has cgi so perhaps that is why it was unaffected. Still, no point spending time on it as all is working well now.
