"Multiplicity" by Rita Carter

I have problems with the perspective of the author on what we might regard as "parts".
She seems to be taking the position of DSM-IV that dissociation requires alternate personalities(which is nonsense)and that the least little amount of fantasy is pathological, and quite likely evidence of Multiple Personality Disorder, which would rather suggest that anyone who even watches a t.v. soap opera is liable to be hugely pathological.
For anyone interested in the theory of "parts",I'd recommend a book called "Multimind" by Robert Ornstein, though it's most likely out of print nowadays.
