Meta-Magick

Has anyone read
Meta-Magick-Achieving-Consciousness-Through-Neuroscience [Amazon UK | Amazon US]
by Philip Farber? It looked interesting to me, and it's not too pricey, so I thought I'd give it a go--I ordered it on Amazon today.

Phil

Re: Meta-Magick

Hi Phil,

I have read this book and I also have all of Philips DVDs.

For me, this has been a fantastic book and a great journey into a realm that most would dismiss without second thought.

Let me know when you've finished the book, I'm sure we'll have a lot to discuss

Take care and keep smiling,

Jamie

Jamie,

Awesome! I will let you know what happens after I read it.

And yes...I'm smiling! As well as laughing. Have you noticed the amazing power in a laugh? Last night at yoga, we did laughing exercises. I wrote about it here.

Be well, and at peace,

Phil

Yes, it's a fantastic book - and I'm pleased to announce that Philip Farber is also coming over to the UK next Spring and will be teaching us some more cool things in person. Keep an eye out here because more details will be announced soon.

Hi Phil

Your post has stimulated me into buying it along with Andy Austins Rainbow Machine which has been on my list of books to buy for a while.

I look forward to sharing experiences.

Chris,

Andy's book is a lot of fun! Very much "coloring outside the lines" (pardon my childish metaphor, due to my line of work!).

We will all have some wonderful things to share, I'm sure.

Phil

And another! Cheers Phil. I bought it in the same order as Jeffrey Thompson's Gamma Meditation CD that's gotten some cool write ups in this other thread.

It's trance-time

By the way, for NLP Connections members who've yet to discover it, I'd recommend the Book Depository as a UK based online store that's usually significantly cheaper than Amazon with free postage for any items!

Re: Meta-Magick

Here are a few more endorsements for the Meta-Magick book:

"Philip H. Farber has once again shown where Magick meets the brain." - Richard Bandler

"Meta-Magick is a brilliant and patently original book of magical instruction that future generations will revere as an 'ancient classic.'" - Lon Milo DuQuette, author of My Life with the Spirits and Enochian Vision Magick

"The intent of Farber's ongoing literary sigil is to move his readers beyond the practice of individual magicks into the shared space of collective, consensual hallucination.... Farber quickly branches out in new directions - casting a visionary world picture as if it were a guide book, a description and instruction manual to a realm that is quite literally created in the process of its depiction and subsequent imagination." - Douglas Rushkoff, author of Coercion and Media Virus

Doh, another reccomendation that I've just ordered. I'm stopping reading the site for a while so as to not bankrupt myself!

I've been having fun with Meta-Magick and the Gamma Meditation CDs for the past couple of days.

I found "The Second Invocation of Atem" very powerful as a huge, stacked, spatial anchor, especially if you do some amplifying of submodalities, and my brain feels pleasantly stretched and clear after meditating with the CDs a few times. I think both products are a great buy, and there's a lot still to explore in them.

Anyhow, for those interested in more of Phil Farber's writings, take a look at this free story. It's quite reminiscent of Robert Anton Wilson in style, and I loved the message behind it .
