| Dr Bandler Speaks in Las Vegas Dr Bandler was in good form last night as he Lectured to a group of around 100 particpants at the Neuro Science Conference in Las Vegas.
Many of the Participant's were in the Addiction and Rehabilitation fields of therapy and very few from what I gathered were current NLP'ers and a couple of local stage Hypnotists.
I took with me around 15 people from my NLP Practise group who were all very impressed with what they experienced.
Richard was in very good form, and seemed pleased to be here.
His lecture began with a little history on NLP assuming some of the Audience were not familiar, and moved on to the "Jesus Christ" story with the cross and to changing parts with hypnosis and the value of "feeling good for absolutely no reason at all".
He discussed Rep System, predicates, submodalities in explaining the relevance of the incongruencies in details.
Many of the Loops were actually in the very begining of "Get the life you want" when I started reading it, Later.
He did a demonstration of a fast Phobia cure for a participant that was demonstrating an ongoing overwhelming sense of fear, anchoring "feeling good for absolutely no reason at all/giggles".
He promoted his (current) new book "Get the life you want" and told us he wanted us to read it and be informed of current NLP Techniques and also (for anyone) to be able to "fix ourselves easily".
He then opened the floor to questions (as we were not a huge crowd of NLP'ers) not to many relative questions, one person asked him what is his favourite book and he answered this one, mentioning how he hadn't written a book in 10 years.
He then went on to talk about his next book he has coming out later this year and how each book would be totally different and both are life changing.
He stayed to take pictures and sign books he may have sold at least one book to 80 percent of particpants.
His Audience said he was charming and witty and were thrilled to have been present.
In my opinion it is always good to see Dr Bandler and something new can always be learned.
The things that stood out the most for me is his statement about "Freedom",
"I did these things (co create NLP/Teach) so I could have Freedom".
And living the life you want to live, opening the door to whatever possibilities you dare to dream.
"Controlling internal Dialogue"
"Feeling happy for absolutely no reason at all".
"Not spending time feeling bad, even if it is one hour each day all those hours add up and we could be eating, playing, having sex..."
I wish you could have been there, and since you were not I hope this helps.
Nadia.
