Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London -
Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London I thought Gabe was a very impressive speaker with a whole lot of passion for what he is doing. I found it interesting to see similar structures to Bandler's but with a different personality over them (specifically more humble than Bandler). For me, that made it a more congruent performance. I also especially liked the sheet from Gabe explaining what loops he used. Although from what I witnessed it was a only glimpse at what he did, it was very unexpected and a real treat to get the loops explained like that. I've never known any trainer to be so open and it impressed me all the more because it was a free event. All in all a very good night and I only wish the bar afterwards had been quieter as there were folks I wanted to talk with and it was too loud for that. Gabe is very talented in my opinion and although I am not investing in any more courses for the foreseeable future I learnt a lot from the free taster. -
Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed the evening session with Gabe last night. In particular what stood out for me was:- The very congruent acceptance of different takes on NLP
- The willingness to weave in his own personal story to the whole evening. It's always so much better for me when a trainer 'walks-the-talk' of being a real flesh and bloody human being rather than trying to be a clever NLP 'guru'.
- Lots of stuff worked and when it didn't that was ok too. Gabe seems like a great model of being being flexible in the moment which is one of the hardest skills to learn as a trainer. It's not about the process or being clever but the person/people there right now...
- I genuinely learnt some stuff that was well framed and immediately practical and useful. Gabe is obviously very willing to teach everything he knows as well as he can which is positively refreshing
And plus I enjoyed the chat with Gabe afterwards - sorry to keep you from your call with your wife and standing in the cold Gabe.
And the very best of luck to Gabe with his new addition!
Cheers

Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London Yeah, that was pretty fantastic. Staying in uptime around Gabe isn't easy.
Sorry I couldn't stick around, but had to catch a train before they finished rolling up the sidewalks in Brentford. I did get a chance to meet Adrian, which was great, but missed a chance to try out my "Vulcan Death Tap" on Mr Meaney. You may be sure I'll be looking for the next NLPC social opportunity. -

Paul Thank you Paul for your post, the conversation and the wishes. For everyone else by "new addition" he refers to my first baby boy which will be joining us in the next few weeks.
No problem Bridget I totally understand, I was fully aware that was going to happen... catching trains (of thought and transportation) LOL
I hope anyone else who wishes to post about the evening does. Good or bad reviews are accepted. I can and will continue to work in improving my skills and also in the delivery of what I know in english. -

I should have known before! LOL
Just kidding. I knew that. Chris asked me what I thought and I like doing free evening events when possible.
Thank you for your post and I do think this is about sharing with others the few things I know so there is no reason to hold back. Good luck in your journey. -
Damn, I envy everyone that made it out! I was still just a bit further under the weather that I would have needed to be to make it (and have had to promise not to do anything that might hamper my full recovery ), but my experience of Gabe is that all of you had a great chance to see someone who is both skilled and generous in sharing what he does in a wonderful way.
And for those of you who, like me, missed it, well, we've got the DVD to look forward to!
Gabe, hopefully I'll get a chance to meet you, if not this time, sometime very soon.
Be Well,

Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London Hey Gabe,
That was my first experience of you and I was really impressed!
Sitting at the front fits with my "squeeze all the value from it" meta program allowed me to notice all the things that I did, and experience al the other things I didn't!
I really liked your therapeutic model - and was about to ask the same question about validations on intervention choices as the Irish gentleman who beat me to it!
I also wanted to squeeze more info out of you about the running of 16 or so interventions on little screens as a VC (presumably with a K validation?).
Altho I've not done DHE this sounded a little like what I'd expect form that. Because I don't know DHE I'm asking the newbie questions...
1.
Is the practitioner just rlying on our un/c minds to perform this (the thought of doing so in conciousness would be challenging would it not?).
or (leading question)
2. is it used more as a useful delivery system for congruence regarding the chosen intervention? - That is, so the practitioner might say to himself - ok I've been thru all these other interventions and so this means that *this* intervention is the most suitable one for this client.
And I'd add that as an when I get an opportunity to train with you - I'd definitely do so!
Feedback from a chap on the Advanced Master Prac was that he thought you were a genius - from what I saw of you I reckon I'd go along with that too!
;-)
Keep rocking Gabe,
Al
P.S. That Baby noise and walk you do to indicate 'this is something I really want' is still killing me with laughter!!!

Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London Thank you Al for your post. I am just arriving to my room in Madrid where tomorrow I start a 5 days long workshop so I have some things to do, but I promise to reply to your questions either later tonight or tomorrow at some point.
I wouldn't use genius to describe myself (although it has some nice ring to it, just kidding).... I would simply say I am someone who has practiced and practiced what I've learned and someone who also has asked good questions (both to myself and to people I've learned from) so you are or at least could be just as good if not better yourself. Just make sure you practice everything you learn and keep asking. I won't be able to reply everything on line but you keep asking even to yourself how things could be done.
Oh and just briefly, yes, I do believe it is based in my DHE skills although I will post more details later or tomorrow. Cheers -
Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London GG - looking forward to your post you bloody jetsetter you! http://www.westessexhypnotherapy.co.uk -
Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London Thanks go out to Gabe and Chris. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience, deemed loads and couldn't wait to get home to my clients and play.
I can only reiterate what has already been said about Gabe above, I hope he will be Orlando in July so I can experience a some more.
Congratulations to you and your wife on the little hombre
Be well

Great evening Gabe and great to meet you as well although the chairs in that place don’t get any better.
Also endorse the sheet with some of your techniques for the evening laid out.
It often pisses me off to hear participants spouting on about how they saw three of the loops closing but not the fourth but did catch all five spacial anchors. Most of the time I am grateful if I find the right room.
The event in November looks interesting also but I was disappointed to see the price had been included. I feel like I am being deliberately filtered in with this and I am not sure I like it but I won’t complain.
May have to get on a Speed Seduction course in the meantime though so I can earn some money to pay for it.
Hope the rest of the trip go well.

Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London JH - you meant had *not* been included, right?
P.S. Agree on the chair front - I had a sore arse afterwards! http://www.westessexhypnotherapy.co.uk -

It would however be ungentlemanly of me to quote it here.
You will have to go find it for yourself or call ChrisM.
Be careful though, I understand he has just finished a Speed Sales Telephone Training workshop whereby he can get your agreement to sign up before he actually picks up the phone.
Lethal stuff.

Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London I too really enjoyed the evening. I thought Gabe was a wonderfully elegant communicator, and I left feeling invigorated and inspired. Great loops and spatial anchoring but still subtly marking it out so his audience could be aware of what was going on at a conscious level as well. -
Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London Agreed Tony. it was anice touch the making slightly more obvious parts so guys could catch on to is process.
John - I knew I'd regret quoting you ;-) http://www.westessexhypnotherapy.co.uk -

Re: Gabe Guerrero - 8th April, Regents College, London Al,
I finally returned home and even though I am a bit tired from all the traveling I think you deserve an answer that I promised some time ago so here it goes at least a brief one.....
On running several simulations simultaneously.
The number is a bit irrelevant. It can go from 3 to over 15. But it is all achieved by training oneself to go into the right state to do two things simultaneously and then three and then four...
There is a story John (La Valle) tells almost every DHE program which involves a guy at a car manufacturing company who solved problems inside his mind by having X number of screens which ran simultaneously... well it is sort of like that. And yes it is most certainly a skill developed using DHE.
I do not rely on unconsious mind for that or better said not entirely on unconscious processing. I believe in training and adding things, however after lots of training it does become partially unconscious, meaning I don't follow consiously all of it. It is like learning tennis or how to drive... after lots of practice you can just do it.
I wouldn't necessarily relate this skill and step in the therapeutic model to congruency but as I read it I thought it might also serve for such a purpose. I do think the hardest thing to teach people about running scenarios in one's mind is not even doing several simultaneously but doing each one realistic and precise based on the known variables. It is so easy to just turn scenarios into optimistic or pesimistic views that it becomes really important keeping them as close to what would "really" happen as possible.
Anyway, hope this helps a little with your questions and I am open to further questions and comments.

Gabe Good to have you back safely and good fortune in the next few weeks.
Interestingly the little one will no doubt become skilled at English, Spanish and NLP without actually learning it.
