    Marc Hogan's S.T.E.A.L.T.H DVD set.

The first thing that struck me about these DVDs is the quality of the production. Really good sound and video, professional editing and all notes overlaid on the screen, no panning across to a dog-eared flip chart. Many comments from participants are subtitled when their voices are not clear. Marc’s style keeps you buzzing all the time. A cross between Graham Norton on “E” and an excited Italian giving you road directions with his hands.

The program is based on a 2 day course which fits well into 8 one hour DVDs. The main focus is using influence techniques covertly. Some of it will be familiar if you have done a Prac course, heard Jamie Smart’s “Ethical Infuence” CD set, read Cialdini and persuasion engineering but the BIG difference is the way that Marc uses the stuff.

The thing that really amazed me about this program is the way Marc uses NLP and other techniques in a conversational way. Using Marc’s approach your could use many NLP techniques during a chat with a mate in the pub. All the artificial stuff about “think of a time when ….., make it brighter and bigger” disappears and Marc shows you how to weave it onto a conversation in a flowing natural way. Timelines are covered by body position and movement of the hands, none of the Johnny Cash “I walk the line” stuff, he makes it look so easy. Anchoring by adjusting your tie and shaking packets of sugar.

There are lots of techniques that will be useful in sales (which is why I bought the set in the first place) or for attracting the man/woman of your dreams but the I think it is the natural way that he uses them that marks Marc out as something special. I bet his Prac course will be interesting.

It is possible that he used Stealth techniques in the program to get me to write this review, but if he did, I wasn’t aware of it.

I bought mine in classifieds, sadly without a manual but at full price I think it is still a good buy as you get some extra DVDs on using these skills in interviews. Compared with the cost of a course it is excellent value particularly when you realise that you can use your NLP skills in a whole new way.

    Dear Nick

I haven’t been on NLP connections for a while, but just wanted to say thank you for your kind words.

I invested a lot of time, and many thousands of pounds (not to mention soul)into developing the DVDs, so I'm really pleased that you enjoyed them! The response has been phenomenal so it's been well worth the effort!

I've just launched 2 new websites to market the DVDs that you can visit here:

    www.stealthpersuasion.com

    www.get-the-job.co.uk

I've also put a free persuasion pack together made up of PDF's. MP3's and Videos which you'll receive when you enter your details into stealthpersuasion.com.

Anyway thanks again for your support, I really appreciate it!

    Hi Mark,

I notice that you are listing SMEACs as part of the course - is this the same as Eric Robbie's SMEACs?

    Cheers,

Re: Marc Hogan's S.T.E.A.L.T.H DVD set.

    Hi Stephen

I did a course a number of years ago with Eric and Susan Belini, mine is more a questioning technique to uncover patterns of behaviour.

Oh. I thought that was the Meta Model and strategy elicitation, not SMEACs.

Re: Marc Hogan's S.T.E.A.L.T.H DVD set.

    Sorry Stephen

    I'll be more specific.

The questions / statements / conversations uncover unconscious patterns of behaviour (micro signals) including eye movements , gestures etc which I then use to influence them.

Re: Marc Hogan's S.T.E.A.L.T.H DVD set.

Sub-modality Eye-Accessing Cues (SMEACs) are a specific way that Eric Robbie created to notice from the outside what kind of pictures people are creating on the inside.

You can tell things like how big the picture is, is it in colour or black and white, in focus or fuzzy, does it have a border, and what colour is that border?

Being able to use SMEACs and being able to teach them are two very different things - deliberately so, because of how Eric Robbie has designed his teaching processes.

Even Eric doesn't claim he can teach this advanced material via a DVD. In fact, he doesn't believe that's possible.

I'm always very wary of half-learning advanced material from someone second or third hand. In my experience, it can make it much harder to learn the material fully later, because you have to first unlearn what you thought was the easy way - and you could build for yourself a new set of limitations.

Eric is teaching SMEACs in April.

Re: Marc Hogan's S.T.E.A.L.T.H DVD set.

I think that SMEACs mean something to certain people, especially those who have been around NLP for a while, and even more especially those who hang around here - i.e. Eric Robbie's SMEACs

To advertise "SMEACs" and then say, well, its not exactly what you thought, its actually a questioning method to uncover unconcious patterns of behaviour, is not, in my opinion really very ethical.

That is, of course, just my map and I welcome a reasoned debate on it.

Re: Marc Hogan's S.T.E.A.L.T.H DVD set.

    Dear Stephen

The last thing I'm going to do here is get into a conversation about my ethics.

I'm also not going to go into Eric's beliefs.

I've been on many courses, read many books, & experimented for many years in the real world to create my influence system, which has elements of many subjects and techniques.

With regards to SMEACS I teach a system of tracking eye accessing (and other) cues that can be used in sales and persuasion setting.

I've provided you with a very brief outline of 1 small part of my system.
I get good feedback, and my DVDs sell around the world.

Many people come on my courses which I hold in the UK, whilst others from the USA Hong Kong Scandinavia, Ireland, etc whilst others prefer to learn via DVD.

Nick wrote a review, (as other people have on this site) I replied, and I mentioned my new sites. If you don’t like my style or my copy feel free not to buy my products or go on my courses.

I thought I should follow up my review by mentioning that the DVDs are no longer available.

Marc is now working with a new company and they find the material on the DVDs a little controversial for their corporate clients.

I'm really bummed to hear that Marc Hogan's S.T.E.A.L.T.H DVD Set is no longer available. It was infact that very "google search" that lead me here. If anyone knows where i can ge my hands on a copy... I'd be forever in your debt.
