Bandler, McKenna, Neill 1-3 May 2009, London Wembley Stadium

What a fantastic place to be! For years I watched (webcam) as the new stadium was built, someone's vision for how to move away from the past and into a bright new future; as you may know there were delays and challenges along the way (schedule and money related) but here it is now a gleaming and iconic creation and what's more the change hasn't finished yet. When you go between the new stadium and the wonderful old Wembley Arena (ahh the memories!) you can see a huge, and I mean really huge, picture of what the new "Wembley Village" will look like when it's finished with the new stadium surrounded by new buildings, tree lined piazzas, fountains and people enjoying themselves, and this massive picture (think cinema screen) is beautifully lit and colourful and so big it's almost 3D and strangely there is this music coming from the front of the square in front of the entrance to the Arena, loud, upbeat and it's playing all the time and looking at the picture and hearing the music just makes you feel so optimistic about what it will all be like.

My daughter and I were discussing this over dinner after day 2 of the course and we were still buzzing from the day while we ate some fantastic Indian food in the Wembley Tandoori near our hotel; I say Indian but it was specifically Nepalese and there is some Ghurka memorabilia on the walls which got us talking about the campaign here in the UK where soldiers of this nationality who have served in the British army for generations are fighting for their rights and have found a new voice with the support of actress Joanna Lumley who has been championing their cause with her personality and that amazing voice of hers; and it seems that it's working and they are achieving real change.

Then there was day 3 and we wished it to go on and on (can you really change your life in 3 days some of you may be wondering?).

What a wonderful feeling!
