when i heard on the words "when your heart attacks" and a big red flag went off in the head. Why would someone say this? I enjoyed almost every other thing, but that gave me pause.

    Re: The Adventures of Anybody

I have not read the book through yet, out of context it could mean anything? When your heart attacks what specifically? What leads up to this and how does it fit with anything Richard might have been setting up?

Maybe your reading to much into this? And you are still very much alive?

    Re: The Adventures of Anybody

Thats true, which is why i posted here, i dont remember the context, i was busy doing something at the pc, listening to the audio, and i heard him talking about this battle between this dude and that dude, and he said "when your heart attacks" and i stopped what i was doing in bewilderment, like , does it have some sort of meaning, it freaked me out for a good 10 seconds.

I think your unconcious was listening and registered far more important things happening in another room, ie the room where the audio plays.

Get listening who knows where it may lead you if such a short sentence can have such an impact.

For me I got bored with the story and the voice of the man reading the story, where were the dragons and heroes? Maybe I should write one, can Anybody help? Nobody, good then you can ask Somebody and I can write about someplace, anytime. You get the picture

Mel D, YOU ARE A STAR and SO IS YOUR DAUGHTER and CHILDREN EVERYWHERE! Keep laughing as you know full well the world needs it, make it contagious, eh?

    Good luck

The bit you're talking about is when Anybody and the old man/warrior are battling, and using puns/ambiguities as attacks, eg. "You must be frozen with anticipation". At least one function of this seems to be to familiarise the reader with ambiguity, in a fun, playful way. (In fact that seems to be a function of the whole book). So, in context, I didn't find it disturbing at all, because it was part of a bunch of highlighted, overt, double entendres.

Also, sensitising your awareness of how people use organ language/body metaphors like "He's a pain in the neck", "This is a real headache", "This is killing me", so that you can mark it, and at least internally say "no thanks" to the metaphor, may be rather useful for your health. And an awareness of ambiguities such as those in the book can be useful for Anybody in all sorts of ways, so you would do well to put your heart into really digesting the learnings on offer .

    Joseph.

    Re: The Adventures of Anybody

I've read this book just recently. I don't notice any changes. What exactly is it supposed to do?

Only thing I noticed is that when I saw the word blink, I blinked. pretty cool.
