Human Givens

Anyone have any experience of the Human Givens approach?

Just finished reading the book by Griffin and Tyrell and it was great food for thought.

Although they seem to have taken some NLP related techniques e.g. Fast phobia, rapport, Ericksonian hypnosis etc they have their own over arching view which I found very interesting.

Anyone got any more experience of this approach other than just the book?

I know they do workshops, courses and diplomas and I'd be interested to get any feedback from people who may have had some experience of it all.

Cheers

Justin

Re: Human Givens

I get flyers through about the workshops on a regular basis and I've also noted that there seems to be much NLP content although not sold as such. The courses look very informative and the diploma appaers from the literature to be a robust introduction to therapeutic changework.

What was the title of the book?

I did some training with Joe Griffin way back in 1994-95 - he is a very impressive clinician and an excellent trainer. I highly reccomend him.

Re: Human Givens

I read this book 2 or 3 years back and found it extremely interesting & compelling. The theories make alot of sense to me, and being aware of them has deepened my understanding of both NLP & hypnosis from a therapeutic point of view.

Article by Ivan Tyrell that succinctly and elegantly sums up what the Human Givens is 'about'.
