I just put the finishing touches on my web version of my How to be Real Superhero workshop and wanted to share.
This workshop is great for all ages, though it's aimed at adults and older kids as presented now. You could just use it for yourself, or create a class or workshop based on it if you like. I imagine this would be a ton of fun to do with an elementary school class or after school program, with costumes and everything. I've done a very simplified and open-ended version for preschool kids, and that worked really well, and I had a comic making class with elementary kids based on this idea.
I've also offered it to environmental/social activists and had a lot of fun with that group, too, as they like to dance and play and make lots of noise! It could work in a more professionsal business or organizational setting, as well, as a way to get people thinking so far outside the box that the box is a tiny, tiny dot far below, because the workshop participants are flying high up in the sky above the clouds.
I've incorporated a lot of NLP, as well as my own developmental theory (based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs and Spiral Dynamics/Integral theory), and added a touch of my small but most superb friend Super Turtle for a bit of extra zip!
Enjoy:
