BrainoBrain???
Hello, I am new to NLP and have heard about a franchise being offered for Hampshire and IOW and wondered if anyone had had any experience / knowledge of this project. It seems like a bargain because the present owner is going abroad to work. £5,000 (normal value (£27K+). I have no idea if this is good value etc? Any advice would be helpful. If anyone on here fancies enquiring about it the lady selling it is tamsinbrainwood@hotmail.com . I'm not sure if i am ready to take on a big franchise at this stage. If anyone can send me a link to a good advice site on running a franchise?
Many thanks
Andy

Hi Andy,
A franchise for what, exactly?

Get it valued by an agent/accountant that is experienced in buying/selling businesses and calculating roughly what they are worth before going anywhere near it.. If the current owner is already running it shouldn't be too hard to value it..

Re: BrainoBrain???
Just noticed the picture with lots of teachers holding up abacuses. A Brazilian mathematician friend of mine took slum kids with no education and trained them on abacuses to do very complex arithmetic and then taught them to internalize the process after in their imagination as a research project there. Very quickly they could do complex arithmetic in their heads despite no prior education.
It seems like they may be doing a similar thing..

Re: BrainoBrain???
Andy, does it have an exisiting client base? how much is it grossing per week? does the business have any assets? does the business have proven 'system's to ensure you can run it as the previous owner, or others owners have? I'd think about that for a start.

Re: BrainoBrain???
Toby McCartney would be a good person to talk to about BrainoBrain.

BrainOBrain,
Looks good from links, but it is some investment to undertake in financial terms. Others will have similar training systems for kids, or would rather develop a system themselves and save money, than pay for a franchise. Never heard of BrainOBrain until mentioned here, that doesn't mean it's not good, but who else has heard of BrainOBrain outside this forum, even people in education - teachers, lecturers have never heard of it.
