Any Suggestions?

What you do to promote this sport in England?

YouTube - Shanghai wushu team training 2007

I've chosen this single clip from thousands of others as it displays well my point. England is missing when it comes to providing such facilities and I wonder how others would go about changing that for the benefit of people who are missing out, any suggestions greatly appreciated, cheers guys!

Re: Any Suggestions?

personally I'd edit theclip -i was bored after the first few mins - but skipped thru to the end bits and they looked pretty kool!

I am stating the obvious pete - but what is compelling about it?
What does it give people, do for them and make you feel, and how could those points be presented in a way that maps across to the audience it's being presented to?

Perhaps the audience you want to present it to might want to be considered too - for instance - perhaps choosing the scope of these people would make a difference, if you had the kind pof guy who does a brutal form, they're less likely tobe impressed, if your selling the idea to the big crowd that lloooooove a good chop socky movie
but dont like the tears, the sprains the other general pain and punishment you have put upon you ini other disciplines like rugger or whatever - then maybe that would work well too.

As you know (MR) I'm speaking from a fairly impoverished mindset - as I fall into, (by choice that reflects my understanding of pragmatism) one of these less elegant folks - I was always shit at kata ;-).

That said, these guys have oodles of physical mastery.

Take it easy guy.

One thing that you may like to look at having/building is a better cultural representation- you have a lot of wonderful Chinese guys and girls- doing their thing- yet there needs to be a set of bridges that people can relate to, i.e. so having some English guys and girls, doing wushu and talking about it's benefits- is a first level bridge- once you have a number of English wushu roll models of both sexes, then you will have a stronger platform and can relate to a wider audience- because you take away the its a Chinese thing- and you create a relationship between the two cultures and by doing that you create more awareness.
