The last thing I thought I'd be posting today is a review of one of Ross Jeffries's products, but hey - since we've been discussing "Speed Seduction" and since I had a spare hour, I decided to go download one of his products and see what all the fuss is about.
I got
this one since apparently it's his most popular and it's also cheap and short. (There's a joke in there somewhere, but I'm walking away from it fast.

)
The download was quick and easy. I was told to listen to it over five days but I ignored that and listened to the five sessions back to back. Each one is only about ten minutes, so I was finished within an hour.
The first thing I noticed was that the recording was made quite some time ago. He talks about turning over the
tape, for example. So this isn't his latest material. It's one of his most popular products though, and it's the one they push on his website as an introduction, so I think it's worth reviewing anyway.
Ross described himself as a neuro-linguistic programmer and the first four sessions focussed mostly on basic NLP techniques. I'd describe it as a self improvement product essentially. The title was confidence, and he also covered motivation, state management, beliefs and strategies. He used a lot of embedded commands and some other hypnotic language to make his points; there was some anchoring, timelines, a swish pattern, affirmations, and more. Pretty much everything I picked up on was aimed at self-improvement. It was a case of "do these exercises to make yourself better" - not "use these techniques on women".
The fifth session was more content-based and Ross shared some of his favourite chat up lines. This part alone was worth the £15 because I haven't laughed so much in weeks. It was really naff. More funny than sleazy though - I think someone would have to try pretty hard to find it offensive.
It ended with a trance to cement in the learnings. That was ok; nothing special. There was one point where he had quite a good Erickson voice and I disappeared for a moment then. I've been listening to Erickson a lot recently, so I'm well anchored!
I'm guessing the later material must be different since I didn't hear anything about "boyfriend destroyers" or "blowjob patterns". This was just a whirlwind tour around some NLP self-improvement techniques, made more marketable by the examples being about meeting more women.
If each RJ product has a different focus, perhaps that's another reason why some people on the forum are passionately defending his work while others feel outraged by it.
Anyway, I'm off now to be more confident and powerful around women. Hopefully my boyfriend won't mind that too much.
