Does Anyone Know Any Good NLP Patterns for Stammering / Stuttering?

    Hi,

I'm have a stutter and would really like to get rid of it.
I belive strongly that NLP can help with that.
But I haven't been able to find any specific thecniques for stammering / suttering.
So would be very grateful if somebody had any NLP patterns for stammering to share.

    /Martin

One of the first things that I'd try is doing a time expansion and break the stuttering strategy down to its elemental steps and do a pattern interrupt. I.e. slow time down and map the VAK for stuttering.

Six step reframing might be worth a shot as well. Swish pattern could work too.

I have not worked with stuttering, so this is based on theory and not personal practice.

    Hey thanks for the answers!
I'm not that experienced in NLP yet, but I'll know the swiss patter.
It's deffenitely a problem that I will take care of, and I will try to break it down in as small and detailed parts as I can so that it can help others to later.
I'll write back when I have the solution.

    Thanks

    Hi there,
you really should start by checking your breathing. Make sure you are taking in enough breath with the lower part of your lungs.
Next check your body is relaxed.
Every stutter/stammer is attached to a human being so it isn't a one cure fits all.
It is usually a mixture of how you are using your body and how you are thinking and feeling inside.
The only thing I can really tell you without seeing you or giving you my e-course (go to my website) is that in many cases it is a breathing problem and it would be a good place to start as it may fix the problem in one go.
You can try sing-speaking. Sing up to 10 quite loud then change to speaking then back to singing. Notice what you are doing differently with your breathing and mouth. Now change back and forward from sing to speak to sing and use the same breathing, mouth and volume and find out it that takes it away.
    good luck
    Laura Spicer
