You may be onto something Vern, but I think the dam connection is more intricate than you propose...

  1. Modern man's reliance on dams has steadily reduced the quantity and height of waves in the oceans, because so much water is kept still on land.
  2. The calmer seas have drastically diminished the opportunities for pirates to attack capsized boats in distress.
  3. There is a perfect correlation between the consequential decline in pirates and the increase in global temperature...
Further reading about this theory can be found here. Arrrrr.

Vern, every so often you say something that I find paritculary interesting, or at least unique! I'm curious, how would the invention of hyrdo dams connect with global warming?

Are you saying that once we tinker with the way water naturally flows we interfere with a built in communication system the earth has?

Would this have anything to do with magnetic fields?

Re: Climate Change Controversy

I heard that pirates spend so much time at sea that their sails are blocking the wind that keeps the ice-bergs cool and that is a main factor contributing to the ice melting.

It the ice caps did melt, would the sea level rise or fall? Assuming there is far much more ice under the water than on top, and that 12 cubic meters of ice would only produce 10 cubic meters of water then overall, shouldnt sea levels reduce as the ice melts?

Thanks,

Matt

Been hearing a couple of people talk about the Arctic melting lately. Think this might be of interest to a couple of people.
