Migrane and PMS -
Migrane and PMS Hi Guys
I'm due to see a client for severe migrane and bad pms , she has been to doctor's and has been told there is nothing wrong with her but suffers severe migrane around the time of her cycle , have gotten a bit of history that her mother suffered they same after the birth of her brother, and it stared after she had her first child 10 years ago, and is on the verge of losing her job as she has to take time off every month,
I'm thinking that this could be a learned response which will be the first thing i will look in to so if any one can offer any other taught or tips please let me know -

Second, I doubt very deeply that she's doing this stuff with any conscious intent at all. If I were in your position, I'd do some trance work. -
Re: Migrane and PMS Hi Micheal
Thanks for you comments much appreciated , I will be very careful alright I have a friend who is an MD who I can call on and have asked the client to contact her MD to get the go a head before I meet her , I was going to start with some trance and visualization's,
And some pain reduction
Cheers

Re: Migrane and PMS Yes, I think you'd be right. If the migraine and PMS are related, I would suspect she is running a program about not feeling womanly enough, possibly cued from your mother.
I would guess that her headache starts in the base of your head in the brain stem, slightly more on the left hand side. This part of the brain is the 'brain relay' for the uterine lining. I would imagine that the headaches start when her period is just about to start or during her period. The headaches are the brain squeezing out water around the relay as the unfertisiled egg is released.
If this is the case, my question would be: how does she not feel womanly enough in her life? How does her mother?
If the migraine is elsewhere, it will be unrelated to the PMS and issues aobut womanliness...
let me know...

As a man, I can only recount my wifes experience with migrane and pms...
She heard somewhere that only certain women experienced pms. From that moment on, she is insistant she has cured herself of pms. Whether she still suffers (in silence ) or genuinely has reprogrammed herself and her cycle I do not know. I am not brave enough to raise a discussion!! -
Re: Migrane and PMS We can work with all kinds of challenging clients, ask people to imagine strange things, control our internal states, change our thoughts, stand up in fornt of rooms full of people and tell them the world isn't what they seem... but can we ask the wife about periods? Um, no...... oh.... ;-) | |
