Dear all,

I just visited an introduction course of coaching and realized that it is all NLP. Not that it came as a surprise but coaching seems to me just having a frame work for the use of NLP.

Discussions with the organiser lead to the following thought: ''Go and do the diploma course (3000 pounds) and use your NLP - it is easier to sell NLP with a Diploma in Coaching.

But, and that is the discussion I would like to start:

a) if I already have the qualification, e.g. NLP, why do I need another one to market it?

b) if mainly what I learn is NLP, why should I do another course (maybe the answer is to market it?).

c) if I do not have any experience in the field, will the diploma help me? Or, how do I market my NLP skills as a coach?

d) why should anyone visit a diploma in coaching course if there is no regulation as such yet, e.g. like the ANLP.

e) does anyone find that coaching becomes a gold-rush as NLP did in the 70s and 80s?

Lots of discussion here, hope to hear from you soon!

Volker
