| Starting Up Hi all,
Come and sit with me for a spell and hear my thoughts,
I have been exploring the world of NLP and Hypnosis for nearly 3 years now and whilst offering NLP based help to friends and family and through my work in education and training, I am finding myself drawn to making a go of it full time as a 1-1 change worker. Am I correct in guessing that is what many of you do?
My question to you is that my only therapy/NLP Qualification is my NLP Practitioner/ Hypnosis certificate gained form Paul McKenna Training. From a legal point of view, is this enough for me to start charging for my services? Will I be able to get insurance with this as my only therapy based qualification? I spoke to a few people who are 'life coaches' among other names that imply it is not NLP or Hypnotherapy but is this a legally sound approach to follow?
Who do I need to affiliate with to call myself a 'NLP Change Worker', 'Life Coach' or whatever? What quality control measures do they have in place to ensure their certification is worth anything, is this a badge of competence or simply a beauracratic register of names? Would my NLP Prac course certificate be enough to 'get me in'.
I have numerous people wanting to speak to me about working with their partners, children and even their colleagues. I also have some new ideas that I want to follow up but I am hesitant to do so without the correct affiliations and insurance.
I look forward to your thoughts,
Thanks
