I'm pretty sure if I was good enough to trap Bonnie via hypnosis I'd be doing something else and not struggling so much for money. -

And is it trying you suck at, 'cause that's okay really - it won't get you anywhere, so sucking at what doesn't work is actually not a bad idea. I like the being persistent part - that's actually something useful you don't want to suck at.
Don't worry about becoming Jonathan right away. It took him years to do it. But you could take one language pattern a day and do it whenever you think about it. And whatever you do, don't try.
Or I'll sick Bonnie on you again. -

Or I'll sick Bonnie on you again. You're a pretty sophisticated NLPer, perhaps you are the one that hypnotized her and are controlling her mind, taking her stuff and limiting her internet access to just two minutes.
I don't mind sucking at what doesn't work, and I'm a pretty stubborn guy, so I know I'll keep at this until I am the best. I won't settle for anything less. -

Of all the threads on this forum and there must be thousands, who's did she pick on to raise her very real concerns about someone she met who has done NLP but obviously is not yet skilled enough to do it properly.
If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck and.........turn on the oven Mabel.

John WHATEVER!!! I'm still trying to figure out how to get myself out of this trance I'm in long enough to put someone else in a trance. -

What the f is this, why is it on my post? This adds absolutely nothing to my Ben Feldman post. I'm certain this person is not stable. I imagine that if she is as scared as she says, she is looking for a place to feel safe. This thread you created probably felt safe for her. Nothing to complain about. Remember your compassion. -
Re: Ben Feldman Michael,
You're right.
Anyone here know anything about the book, "MindLines"? Will that help me linguistically be a better salesman?

So, lately I've been concentrating on just getting to know people and bond with them. So far it hasn't helped me sell any more vehicles, but I'm going to keep trying this on a hunch it may teach me something. -

That sounds like a good plan, except for the part about not selling more vehicles. What is your conversion rate? -
I don't know. It seems that I'm having difficulty moving from the "I'm your friend" zone into the "I'm your salesman" zone. -
Re: Ben Feldman Perhaps that is the issue. You are not necessarily aiming to be their friend but to understand their needs so that you can help them buy the car that is right for them. -
Nick,
I am trying to distinguish myself in their minds as a person who genuinely cares about them and cares about helping them make the right decision. Getting to know them on a deeper level and getting to know what it is that I am able to do for them. However, I am still getting the exact same objections as I would if I acted like a "typical" car salesman. | |
