I was thinking what do all these people do in common in their seminars? What's the common theme?
Also forgive my ignorance but I have a question. Is there anyone who has done really well with NLP but isn't a therapist or an NLP trainer?

I had this conversation about marketing with an NLP trainer just yesterday.
I think the common theme with the very succesful trainers I have met, watched, or heard is that they have way above average levels of charisma - which includes a sense of humour. Also credibility stemming from in depth knowledge and experience, genuine passion for what they do and total ownership of how they do it / deliver it - I think it shows when someone is delivering material they didn't create.
As for marketing, the impression I have from what comes through my letter box and into my e-mail account is that the marketing methods are pretty similar to other trainers. Maybe there is something in the content. But I think the key thing is that if you are very very good at what you do and you do it often - even with small numbers initially - your name will grow and sell itself (but even then you need pieces of paper and e-mails so folk know when to buy

).
