NLP - Part of You?
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this site but not to NLP. I've been to a few NLP experiences over the years - all with or involving Richard Bandler, John La Valle, Michael Neill, Paul McKenna and Michael Breen.
As a result I think I've been rewarded with as good a basis for the skills of NLP as it's possible to get.
I reckon to use some aspect of NLP so frequently I don't know I'm doing so until afterwards sometimes. This leaves me with the conviction that messers Bandler, Mckenna et al have done their job well.
How do you experience NLP?
Cheers,
Dave.

It's an interesting question Dave. I think a lot of people find themselves behaving differently after some training, and many would say they've got "unconscious competence" in new skills. In other words, they don't have to think about what they're doing (consciously) - they just do it.
Does that mean NLP becomes part of who they are? I suppose in a way it does.
The same thing happens in many other contexts too. When I was taught to count and do basic maths, I didn't realise that one day I'd be in a pub checking my change out of the corner of my eye while having a conversation with someone else. But I got good enough at maths, like most people. After practicing for a while, now I can glance at my hand and "just know" if I have the right amount of change.
Does that mean maths became part of who I am too?
I suppose in a way we are a product of everything we've ever experienced.
That's exciting!
Everything counts for something; everything leads somewhere.
There's no time. Like the present.

Ha, I do that. I don't know where it came from either, I just started doing it one day.

Interesting! NLP or not? I just know that I can knock anything off a wall with a stone from a distance and I'll guarantee you a coconut from a fair coconut shy.
I can also remember phone numbers when I've programmed them into my head.
I suppose it doesn't matter either way - it is belief in my view.
NLP has opened my mind to capitalising on belief though!

I don't think so but would I be able to do it if it wasn't for NLP? Probably not
