Hi from a New Member Hey all
I'm Lloyd - that shouldn't be too hard to spot
I'm based in Dubai, I'm originally South African and I have used NLP extensively on myself, and in my personal and professional life. I lack formal training, though that hasn't seemed to be a hindrance.
I had a good community of NLP'ers around me, we had a lot of fun and used to do outrageous things sometimes - which were great learning experiences and the source of so many good times. It's a life-changing tool, and wonderful way to live. My interest this year is gaining a qualification in Ericksonian model hypnotherapy (largely out of curiosity), and (maybe) formally attending a practitioner course. A priority is improving on my NLP for business.
If there are any NLP'ers in Dubai I am looking forward to meeting new people and making new friends, and practising. Please do get in touch with me, I'll definitely make the effort to meet up.

Hey Stigga
I needed to change. How would I put this...? I needed to look up at the sky and not down at my feet. There's a story there, and a challenge I had to overcome.
A good friend of mine at my work mentioned NLP and Bandler to me by chance, and being curious (one of my defining traits, and possibly the reason I get out of bed in the morning), I took a closer look.
It resonated with me immediately, and I started using it, methodically and enthusiastically. And things started to change, which made me more enthusiastic, which made me want to show other people this cool stuff, which in a few cases got them enthusiastic, which got me enthusiastic. As you can see, it was a vicious circle
I had a few good friends I trained with, and we would assist each other, and there would always be referrals and people wanting to know more, and it became a small community of people wanting to improve things in their lives. I wasn't being Tony Robbins, we were just having fun and had some to share.
If there is one thing I took away from NLP, it's Richard Bandler saying that NLP is an attitude, backed by a methodology, followed by a trail of techniques. I think that once you catch the attitude from someone who's radiating a good vibe, it's contagious. -
Welcome sir. I am nowhere near Dubai, sadly, but I look forward to learning from you here. You will find a lot of awesome people on this site. | |
