NLP Academy

Hi,

I work at the UK’s leading center of NLP Learning, the NLP Academy. I have been here for about 2 months and feel blessed and privileged to be working and training with some of the best 'NLPers' in the world.

I hope to meet lots more inspiring people using this forum!

Please feel free to ask me any questions regarding NLP, PhotoReading or Hypnosis.

Thanks

Carl

Welcome. It's a pleasure having you here with us, only makes our community and knowlegde greater

I have a question about Photoreading, How long does it take to photoread a book and do you have to be asked a question to remember the book or can you remember most of it just by thinking to yourself?

Mikail, good question! When studying PhotoReading, the same as when you study anything, standards vary with the teaching and with the pupils learning.

I cannot say about any other courses out there but, the course we teach on PhotoReading we say you can read 25,000 words a minute (which is fast!) - like Michael Carroll can, (the course director). However, if I met David Beckham this weekend and he showed me how to take a free kick, it does not mean I am going to start to take free kicks for England.

Having said that this is a skill which is invaluable to anyone who needs to read/study - and anyone here who can speedread/photoread will tell you the same thing. And of course, with the memory skills you learn, you can remember what you have read yourself!

Hey Damian - dido! Chris thank you, I look forward to coming to some of your events very soon and to meet you in person!

Hi Carl,

Interesting new job

I am curious about the practitioner course running next year. I understand the practitioner and trainer courses this year were run consecutively, next years' courses appear to run on seperate dates. I wondered why the change, and what the advantages are.

Best Wishes, Cam

I think it needs clearifying that NLP Academy is not in any way, shape nor form "an academy", just as NLP University being run by Dilts and Delozier isn't a university. It's just the name of the company.

Most of the Institutes are also not Institutes.

I'm not sure it matters hugely though, or even at all. What matters is what these companies do - and the guys at NLP Academy are committed to doing a great job.

Re: NLP Academy

Carl, re your post above...you mention that Michael Carroll can read 25000 words per minute. Wow! I was reading on another post that the speed readers there are reading at a rate of about 750-800 wpm. I know very little about speed reading. Can Michael really be 30 times faster at reading than those other speed readers. What is it that Michael does that the other speed readers don't?
best wishes,
simon

There is a fundamental difference between SpeedReading and PhotoReading. Here is a website you may like to look at:

PhotoReading

We teach how to do this and not miss a lot of information

Hi Cameron!

I am glad you are curious about the practitioner course running next year. One of the practitioner courses we are running next year is running consecutively along with the Trainers Training course. The same as this year - and it was a big success.

The advantages are that each person on the Practitioner will have a personal 'coach' (who his taking the Trainer course). This benefits both parties numerous ways. It really stretches them when being asked certain questions and of course helps the practitioners as they get full on one-to-one work with there own personal experineced NLP coach.

Please, if you have any more questions ask, or give me a call at the office.

The practitioner this year was really a blast. Anyone interested in a truly high quality NLP practitioner course should take NLP Academy into account. And no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

Hey Carl

Welcome to the club. We really need experienced guys like you to learn NLP. I am just an amateur who is starting to understand NLP, Hypnosis. I recently (2 days ago) bought the Photo Reading product of Paul Scheele. I have just started using it. Just wanted to ask if CD's and worksheets would be enough to learn photo reading properly. Or would i also need a trainer. I stay in India and we really have no access to world class product like these . Do you know any photo reading trainer who coaches in India.

Thanks for the info Carl.

One course next year is consecutive prac / trainer, the other prac course runs on its own. The advantages of the consecutive courses have been mentioned on here over time, What are the advantages of the sepearate prac course, and why the move away from running all courses consecutively ?

Re: NLP Academy

Are there any advantages to the separate prac in March, is it worth waiting for the other consecutive courses ?

Re: NLP Academy

Hi Cameron & Sam,

This is a great question and one that is asked quite often. Firstly I will clarify that our NLP Practitioner course in August is run simultaneously to the NLP Trainers Training in adjacent rooms. In terms or NLP certification we run the Practitioner, Masters and Trainers Training about 3 months separate of each other to allow the collision of the NLP skills learnt with the real world.

March
With this in mind the advantage of doing the NLP Practitioner in March apart from being sooner is that you will have more time with John Grinder and Carmen Bostic. There are 3 trainers on this course.

August
As the NLP Practitioner and NLP Trainers Training runs simultaneously we have a key facilitator John Thompson running part of the Training. This gives you less time with John Grinder and Carmen Bostic than the March option but the advantage of a personal mentor and coach through out the training.

What are your thoughts on these two options? Any other questions arise?

Best
