    New to NLP

    Hi

I'm Filao in West Yorkshire and I'm new to NLP.

I'm a life coach in training and curious about how NLP will help me in my coaching practice. I have only got a very sketchy idea of what NLP is all about and I want to get some more background before I commit myself to a training course, which will probably be a major investment.

When I set out to learn something new, my preferred learning style is to start by exploring resources through reading and research, maybe through exchanging posts with those of you more experienced than me.

Any tips about where to start in this fascinating subject will be gratefully received - particularly on line resources and/or recommended books.

Filao, if you run a coaching practise NLP helping you ask the right questions will probably help. Consider learning the Meta Model. And learnign 2 main questions 'what's stopping you?' and 'what would happen if you did?'

Thanks Sam, I will certainly use these two powerful questions in my coaching work.

    Welcome.

If you Google NLP your preferred learning style will be satisfied for many many months I would think.

BTW My tip - The client is NEVER wrong but they may not know that.

    Great to meet you Filao,

You can use many Techiniques. Specially ANCHORINg will help your clients to show a very good way to face any challenges to face. If you study NLP properly you will get insight of PANIC and you can help your client to break that type of reactions

    regards
    Sakthi
