I've been interested in NLP since the mid-90s and gradually built up my knowledge with the odd cassette, book and course. I did the NLP Practitioner's course with McKenna Training a year or so ago and am taking the Master Practitioner's course with them in May 08.

Overall I see it as an indulgent hobby at the moment, though I'd love to actually use it and help people. Friends and colleagues hold a different view - they tend to avoid eye contact with flattering but melodramatic exagerations as to how I'm hypnotising them. Alternatively, they can't take the process seriously from me as they're used to me being 'fun' rather than 'serious'! I don't therefore pursue it as I can't force it upon them against their will.

So, I'm spending my hard earned cash and using up my holiday entitlement on my hobby and bursting to do a little bit off good with it somewhere soon. Feeling like a closet NLP nerd I'd love to be in touch with people who have been able to find a use for it!
