Greetings and salutations...
Hi folks, M.B at your service, here goes my little intro to get my posting stripes...
I'm what you might call a 'layman', I've read a good deal of books by B&G but not taken any training as yet although I certainly aim to do so. My interests are primarily language, psychology, philosophy, science (esp. quantum physics), playing the drums and listening to metal, yeaaah.
In my model of the world I see NLP as a bit 'corporate', perhaps filtered through a business lens rather than an educational one, where most/some people at trainings are managers or execs looking for newer ways to manipulate the under classes and increase their profit margins, cough cough...there goes the deluded Marxist in me.
My main philosophical influence would be Robert Anton Wilson, who practically got inside my head and re-wired my malfunctioning brain, thanks for that Bob.
In this particular filed I admire, of course, Ritchie B and John Grinder as the wonderful originators, I also like the more methodical teaching style of Robert Dilts and the works of Steve Andreas. In the future I hope to plough the resources of Nick Kemp and Andrew T. Austin in trainings and possibly an actual session, both I find refreshingly unpretentious, bright and original.
