hi from a new member in Brum
Well... I'm new to NLP connections and this seems a good place to start. I teach NLP, hypnotherapy and Tai Chi offering a balanced approach to mind and body. I have been teaching tai chi for some 20+ years and the NLP concepts fit in so well that it seemed an obvious thing to do. I alos now teach sports hypnosis and NLP to martial artists and sports professional as it helped me so much personally. I look forward to great chats and new friends
regards

Re: hi from a new member in Brum
The NLP community things seems pretty good... Friends and lots of responce. Shame I can't say the same from the mental heath field. Some contact me in support of NLP and others poo poo it as not as good as CBT or clinically proven; even siting Bandler as a murderer and addict as some sort of defence.... thanks for your support, what do you do and what is your interest?

Re: hi from a new member in Brum
Oh, I do Chinese Wushu which depending on how you look it up can mean martial arts or sorcery and that sums it up well in my case, mental health is ran like a mafia style business along with national health, education and government and that's my interest along with lurning from a whole list of great people on this forum and at the moment I'm strongly concentrating on the Milton model meta states and beliefs.
you are welcome for my support other interest I have are that I am a shiatsu practitioner going for the PPT course in June and I am a bricklayer by trade married to a Beijingnese girl from Chao Yang(face the sun) district near to the forbidden city also known as CBD, I travel there to learn Chinese martial arts

Re: hi from a new member in Brum
thanks for the info. I trained in Tai Chi initially in the UK then Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan where I was elected vice president of the world tai chi federation. in addition to NLP I trained in hypnosis with the British Society for Medical and Dental Hypnosis. I sort of blagged my way in (my wife is a practice nurse and trained with them) as I am involved with rehab training across a number of areas including falls, COPD and cardiac. My main interest is natural trance states and Dilt's hierarchy of criteria.
This forum gives a great deal of support and widens my knowledge every time I look..
thanks
Mark
