New here, and having WAY too much fun...

Hey, y'all...

I'm from the US ... I found this site recently, and i've been lurking a little. What a wonderful place! I've been having so much fun following the posts. I feel as if I know some of you already... Hi, Andy! Jamie! Michael, Chris, James, Venus, William, Peter, John, Bridgett!

I hope to make a trip to the UK this summer to visit and to study NLP. I've been looking at NLP Scotland's courses in storytelling and metaphor, and, as a writer, that quite appeals to me.

I'm also a big Richard Bandler fan...right now I'm immersing myself in Bandler 's recordings: DHE, Persuasion Engineering, Neuro Hypnotic Repatterning. Bandler is an amazing teacher, and I admire his ability to use humor and general outrageousness to make the learning stick. I'll be going back to school for a PhD, and i'd like to use some of the tamer techniques when I'm teaching university classes:

And as you drift into sleep tonight, your unconscious mind will be busy synthesizing the strong masculine declensions of the Old Norse nouns on the list we looked at today. At various times, over the next few weeks or days or hours, you will find yourself spontaneously noticing how much fun it is to watch the language unveil its secrets...and how logical Old Norse now appears to you ...how the sounds all make sense...i don't know how quickly and easily the nouns and their meanings will stick in your memory ... now...i'm curious to discover how fast it can happen, isn't that true?

I admit it all still needs work, but...as i said, I'm having WAY too much fun to stop!

My son has been enjoying Bandler with me...I'm quite proud that he, at age 13, fully "gets" Bandler (well, if that can be said of anyone). This knowledge will serve him well in future...my son already knows he wants to be a surgeon, and i'm so pleased that he will have additional tools to improve his clinical skills, accelerate the healing of his patients, and improve patient compliance.

I look forward to studying with Bandler in the UK. I imagine I'll be one of those people who goes to everything available -- certainly everything Bandler is offering, and I'd like to study with Grinder...the "new code" looks intriguing.

Then there are some in this group who have classes, seminars, or products that interest me...so I'm sure I'll be spending some of my money with you guys as well.

I am having a wonderful time right now, seeing and experiencing how my life gets better and better the more powerfully I use language. And it's fun imagining how much more freedom the people around me will have once I've mastered helping them release the limitations they thought they had before they become conscious of how easy it is to just...let go...and feel...really...good.

So next summer will find me in Scotland and in the London area as well...possibly with a side trip to Lancaster...and Iceland (I have a thing about Old Norse and Icelandic).

I look forward to having a chance to hang out with some of you then!

- Valeria
