I have been aware of NLP for 2 years, and was introduced to the way it works from the other side of the table so to speak.
I was working as a stressed out manager and took advantage of my then employers EAP scheme. This led me to an NLP Practioner who helped me understand myself and my situation and gave me the tools to overcome the issues I had. As a direct result I left my job and decided that i order to reduce my stress levels I should set up my own business!
I bought several books on NLP and also CBT as this had been recomended by a former colleauge who was trained in CBT. After reading and researching I came to the conclusion that NLP would benifit me and my staff more than CBT ever could.
My business is now into the second year and there are communication issues within the team. I refered back to my NLP notes and books and have started to implement basic concepts at work which have yielded small results, which have in turn reduced tension and increased communication. We have a lot of work to do and I want to intoroduce NLP to my staff team so they too can benifit.
I have chosen to do this at a time when it is least convienient, as I have fulfilled a career goal of going to university to study Social Work. Mad as it seems, I would like to bring the two together and study as an NLP Practioner at the same time.
Anyone out there who can offer any advice or information on distance learning routes, I would be grateful for any input you may have.
