My name is Marie and I'm new here, although I have dabbled with NLP on and off for 8 years now. I'm currently living in Ipswich and I have begun this week working on an NLP-related project.

My question is, what's a good description of NLP? I have to write a paragraph that gets it across in a few words in language a bank manager will understand. For some reason my mind goes blank when I try to reduce NLP down to a few words.

The best I have so far is "NLP is a set of ideas that can be useful for self improvement, developing business ideas or modelling other people's skills".

What would you say if you were introducing NLP to a bank manager?
