    Hi! I'm Changing My Map!

    Hi all!

I've just joined here to gain a bit more knowledge of NLP. I am an NLP practitioner and have had good results working with others but have not done much in the way of work on my own problems. I decided to make a start doing this and have decided to keep a blog of my progress (mynewmap.wordpress.com if you are interested).

I'm looking forward to learning lots from here and hopefully having something useful to contribute too!

    All the best

    John

    Hi and welcome.

Sounds good stuff and when you tell the world what you are doing that puts it in a different gear I guess.

Did you cover Well Formed Outcomes on your training?

Here's some guidance that looks quite good.

Did you ever notice that the Roman Numerals for forty (40) are "XL"?

Re: Hi! I'm Changing My Map!

Welcome. I left a comment on the site and then thought of something else.

Have you considered working with a coach or NLP practitioner on your own problems? It would help move you forward more quickly, it would also help reinforce your belief that this stuff really does work.

Jamie wrote something about this recently, can't find the link at the moment but I'm sure someone will add it soon.

Re: Hi! I'm Changing My Map!

    Thanks John, and Connor

This is going to be an interesting thread already right away from the gitgo, and slips sliding away already.

SO, a map is a collation of ones past, present and future also called now and here, and until death do you part the current map that you know. An outcome is what you need clear about yourself because without it's like your drifting in a sea of waves without recourse due to being rudderless to get anywhere to the point in the map you own.

What am I going to do without you guys in learning these new and brighter NLP terminologies.

SO in essence 'get what you want and to each his own making of what you get out from life. It's like goal setting hand in hand. On one hand you've got the map and on the other hand you got your outcomes. On your one feet toes you got the sub-modalities, etc.

    HAVE FUN AND WELCOME!
