My name is Rufus, i have just completed the practitioners course in NLP with NLP ACADEMY. I'm slowly getting to grips with some of the techniques but i was wondering if anyone could help me with a few things. I work as a personal trainer and im finding it hard to stay context free with a client whilst working with them. They often state the problem to me in general conversation and then i suggest some change work! is this a problem and if so why and how do i resolve it?

Hi Rufus,
I think you have to ask if your suggestion of change work is appropriate-ie are they inviting you to help them make changes or are they wanting to be listened to and paced before considering change as possibly desirable. If you suggest change too early you are inviting resistance. Preparation for change is everything!
