How Do I Find Clients Initially?

Hi fellow NLPers. Thanks for looking!

I am a recently graduated HNLP Master Prac and very excited about appplying my new skills... What did you do to build your client base when just starting out? How did your marketing fliers read? I know WOM is the key and I need NLP client experience first to build referrals. How do I find these people without approaching friends and family? Any suggestions I would LOVE to hear from you

Hi Sarah - dunno if this helps - but I just got this sent to me:

James Lavers - The Profit Paradox

bit sneaky I know - but it goes through to this page if you'd rather not give 'em your email:

NLP Business - NLP Marketing - Get Coaching Clients - James Lavers

looks harmless enough...and 'free'

Jack.

Hi Jack,

That fellow went on and on

and then

on

and then

on

Gosh! Has ANYONE ever taught that self named 'guru' the advantages to being succint! I am obviously a larger chunker than he is... I just found that very lengthy sales pitch hideously going nowhere. Let me know how it goes for you. I shall give it another chance if you find value there.....

Sarah :-)

Re: How Do I Find Clients Initially?

Hi Sarah,

James Lavers knows his stuff, and he does the kind of marketing that is all about getting measurable results at the end of the day - NOT the kind of marketing that is about aesthetic or conceptual appeal.

One of the things that we know based on quantitative data gathered over decades of trial and error is that, on average, 'long copy' (going on and on in sales letters/pages) gets a dramatically higher conversion rate than 'short copy' (being succinct). So because James is interested in maximising measurable results rather than meeting peoples' personal preferences in terms of writing style - he frequently goes for long copy in his offers.

There are many people here who have benefited greatly from James' advice and assistance, and with regard to marketing in this field he has both a track record and a pedigree that is - quite frankly - unmatched. At the very least, it's well worth checking out what he has to offer - especially when there's great stuff like this that he gives away for free.

Cheers,

James T

Well, well, well.
Having never heard of him I threw the baby out with the bath water and seemingly with too much haste. Thank you so much for the thumbs up. I shall relook at his work with a much broader mind.

Hi Sarah

(Marketing gurus? what do they know! )

Here's a really EASY, EFFICIENT and FREE way of building a client base in your local area. Three words not normally seen in the same sentence.

Contact your local branch of the W.I. and offer to go to one of their meetings and do a half-hour presentation on NLP, with a question and answer session at the end. The W.I. just love to get interesting people to come and talk to them about stuff. You do it for free, but you will get a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

Then do the same thing for as many more groups as you can, such as the Lions, Rotarians, Association of small-business owners, etc.

This has dual benefits. Not only are you establishing yourself locally as an 'expert' but you also improve your public speaking skills.

Regards

John

Oh yes it is! The Womens Institute. These are often the wives of local businessmen. They love to talk about the person who came to their meeting the other night. Exactly what you want, word-of-mouth.

Who are you trying to attract as clients? People with money? Yes?
They are the ones who join these things, and seem to influence others.

Don't miss out on this opportunity.
