and he, Kenrick, pretty much devised the unconcious hello,
    ( {sigh}, let's do this again).

The above is inaccurate information. I'll keep this response brief; read my post shown below in this thread for more details. The unconscious hello comes from Dave Dobson, not from Kenrick Cleveland (though he may have been the one to pass it along to your ears).

Ross was trained in part by Kenrick.
Kenrick has attended trainings by Dave Dobson.
The unconscious hello is attributed to Dave Dobson.

Hope that clears this one up (again).

Hello again Eric and Micheal, I hope you're well. I see the speed seduction stuff from a completely different angle to you and Micheal.
You may well do, but I wasn't talking about Speed Seduction here. To be clear, I was referring to people who use NLP rapport techniques mechanically and with intent that does not respect the ecology of both sides of the exchange.

Certainly people can use SS techniques without meeting either of these criteria.

I hope that's clearer and thanks for pointing out the usefulness of a clarification here, Peter!

    Be Well,

But then who taught it to Dave Dobson?

    Just joking!

    Be Well,

    Michael Perez

Actually I had this whole idea about Kenrick going back in time in a DeLorian to teach Dave, which would cause a temporal paradox and destroy the universe, but I didn't mention that here because I didn't want to look like a lunatic. Dodged that bullet! Whew!

    Re: the Unconcious Hello

    Hi Jonathan,

I agree with you. As someone who knew Kenrick Cleveland back in the 80s, when he called himself just Rick Cleveland, I can assure you all, he, Rick, did not come up with the 'unconscious hello', and that Dave Dobson did.

And I would add that Dave D meant it to be used in a very worthy, healing, non-exploitative sense.

    Eric.

    Re: the Unconcious Hello

Cool feedback, I stand corrected. I thought heard a name mentioned and missed it, only on dvd, but couldn't make out the name and I think Kenrick or Rick, hee hee, was protecting the name from his audience.

I really like Kenrick's style and I would always use things I learn for self improvement.

    Re: the Unconcious Hello

I read some stuff on it. It seems very effective and is similar to what RB says about seeing people as cartoons or silly figures with big floppy ears and odd shaped heads etc.

    Re: the Unconcious Hello

Oh, one thing Kenrick advised, is to be truthful to yourself. Otherwise you trick your own subconcious into thinking it's ok to lie and he says, and I believe him, you don't want to go to that place.

Al, I knew it was going to come to fisticuffs between you and I sooner or later. I hereby want to state the start of the campaign for NLP trainers being able to disrobe for bed, bathing, and any any other time it seems to them appropriate to do so.

...because only in NLP can you identify something everyone already does naturally and call it a 'technique'...
