Why does it seem as though nlpconnections is like a near fatally wounded animal staggering aimlessly onwards?

    6. because it was difficult to loose an arguement
    7. because the contributors were too intelligent
    8. because the contributors were too stupid
    9. because it metapositioned itself out of existence
    10. because too much thinking is not good for you
    11. or something else(feel free to comment)

Probably some of the first part and some of the second part depending on one's perceptions.

It hasn't helped with some contributors flaming or writing with a less than (NLP) constructive attitude from the middle of last year.

I'm optimistic that the 'atmosphere' can change...if we want it to.

A rebirth perhaps ..... a pheonix from the ashes ....a new marketing bonanza.....a skoda revival....anything is possible

i cant believe that there are not nlp people or otherwise out there who wish to jabber off about what they do

maybe there is something inherent in the whole thing that (if number 3 is right) drains the heart out of it all

    11 & 7

    11. The internet is a hungry beast and gobbled whole many of the traditional mediums through which certain types of interaction occurred - but it also presented opportunities for new ones - like message boards - to flourish. Now it's maturing it's devouring itself and certain things are maturing out of existence. My guess is that as sites like facebook and professional sites like LinkedIn have evolved so the audiences of smaller niche sites like nlp connections have much greater choice (with less in the way of negatives such as spamming and sock puppets etc. to contend with). This board had the illusion of being busy but it doesn't take many posters to create that, in reality there were never more than a few dozen regular contributors.

    7. It's an interesting conundrum, a few years ago I kept an eye on one particular site - the owner of which was making a serious effort to generate valuable and free resources. Then when he went TA DA!! and threw on the lights .... no one turned up, no one registered, nothing happened. And it had probably the most free resource I'd seen on the internet at the time but sod all interest. Who knows what the answer is but it's unlikely that what got the board here to date will get it there - wherever that may be.

I think this forum is a wonderful resource for learning NLP. It’s unique that in a particular field you have so many experts and named trainers sharing on one forum.

It does appear to get a little political and personal on some of the threads, which I can imagine be off putting. The more technical discussions threads can get ruined a little by people being pedantic under the disguise of trying to be specific and disrupting the flow.

I think having Chris Morris on here is great balance for the forum.

Yes a very interesting video Alistair... thanks.....

on the whole i agree with Vi ... all in all this is a useful forum...the resources and the new directions are of great value...and so are many of the discussions which make me rethink things and pull me out of a comfort zone....despite some of them being somewhat lacking for my taste... many of the things i use im my work have been a result of this forum...

but back to the video...he certainly talks fast.....very interesting im not sure whether it is best to talk direct or add politeness and suggestion(after all that is our game )....or whether this forum suffers from too much of one or the other ..........i mean cant we find a way of doing dominance, communality and recipricosity all together.....maybe we should just all get together to have a group sexual experience and make love like gorillas so that we all feel good (i think that covers it)......,..i was surprised that even the sopranos found the need to add suggestion and politeness for the sake of relationship...i thought they were tough guys/gorillas.....

In my opinion some the straightest talking people i know are germans .... and i have had a few relationships with german girls and well.......im not so sure.... a bit of social lubricant always seems to help...although some of them didnt seem to mind the straight up sexual proposition...there were others that did....

i also enjoyed the next video on the list which was on education
    yours anekant
    ps i love germans
