Inception -
Inception Is it possible to enter someone's mind? If yes, how and at what state? -
Elaboration.
Is it possible to get hints as to what someone's thinking? Yes.
Is it possible to influence someone into thinking something? Yes.
Up to you to see if these two put together have much to do with "entering someone's mind" -

1. Communicating
2. Whichever state they are in. -
I mean something just like in the movie inception -
That's the best example I can think of.
I don't know about people all hooked up to comuters sharing a dream. Some people use maya or 3dsmax to create dream realities and then code it into a games engine like the unity games engine for people to play across the globe. They all share a dream world where they can interact with eachother through the various scenes and levels. It's really up to the game designers the boundaries of reality inside the dream, literally what is going through the mind and how. (lets hope they are good people) Who knows once the advertizers get into the games industry. Ipod, mobile phones, internet browser, play station 3, linux, xbox 360, mac, windows, it's going to be a revolution for the marketing departments once they realize how this is developing right now. Even adobe will be bringing out a new vesion of flash called molehill to render a 3d environment for games (not that great, yet). That's one achievable way to enter minds in my opinion. To do this someone would probably want to learn to use maya, zbrush, blender, unity games coding (csharp, javascript or boo) and fl studio to build and code the levels or join team. Someone good at NLP might even make a good games designer, who knows?
The film is the best example I can think of and probably one of many. -
