    NLP Coach

Has anybody bought (or tried) this computer based NLP training package?

NLP training software for Practicing the Meta Model, Milton Model and Mind Lines Patterns

I'd just like to know what other people think of it.

    Cheers

I think the intention is good, but NLP on a computer kinda defeats the purpose dosnt it? Maybe if you are trying to change someone over Facebook chat it could be useful

Humans unfortunately can throw millions of random variables of their behaviour at you, and i dont think a computer program would be able to do the same.

Again it looks like a good way to practice and keep the info in your head - but you can always be practising NLP language patterns on those around you and noticing the response... and that's free and will provide you with real life feedback!

i think one of the most important parts of NLP is being able to output the information competently and confidently to other people, that's where the real improvement will take place.

    But thats me,

Hope it was of some help

    Hello Cormac.

    Thanks for replying.

You're absolutely right, it is better to practice by talking to real people and as you said, they can reply in any number of ways.

I just thought that, for a beginner, this program might be useful because although it can't possibly cover every reply you get from human interaction, humans won't wait for you to think of a reply during conversation. By using a computer package, you could learn the possible replies that you could give (or should give) and you can make all the mistakes you like without feeling awkward.

After you get reasonably good by using a package such as this, you could then go and try using your skills with real people.

    Mick.

Mind lines patterns? Who were they modelled from?

    Cheers

Yea, the more info and practice you get the better, as with anything.

But in reality you are only going to get comfortable with people once you practice on them, and in conversation if you cant see an NLP response... dont use one!

You'll be surpirsed how easy it is to get good at noticing thses patterns that people use, from eye movements, to language predicates, its a huge amount of fun to even just try and notice the rep systems they say to you and see their matching eye movements!!

I mean, even in conversation you dont have to say any NLP thingy back... just begin to notice how they communicate!
