The RESOLVE Model of Richard Bolstad

Richard Bolstad is a NLP trainer based in New Zealand. I have read couple of his articles before; they were all excellent and well-informed. IMO, Mr. Bolstad's articles reflect an attempt to approach, as well as present NLP more seriously so that the academia can accept it just like any other subject. I am curious about his RESOLVE model of therapy. I don't know anything about it. If you do, could you share what you know? Thank you.

    Hi Vivek

Richard Bolstad's book RESOLVE (Crown House) gives a deep and considered exposition of how the therapeutic framework integrates NLP with other psychotherapeutic principles. He illustrates this with case studies and examples of his work with PTSD in Bosnia which are particularly useful.

It is probably in the forefront of placating the demands of the scientific community with regard to the "credibility" of NLP. If you find his articles interesting and stimulating you will find his book invaluable.

Thanks, Peter. Yes, I am thinking about buying the book. Thought I could gather some views from others before that. One of the highlights of Mr. Bolstad's work is his in-depth knowledge as well as experience in the psychotherapeutic approaches with NLP. I guess, RESOLVE is the outcome of his experiences in this particular area. Very interesting. I'll probably be buying the book soon.

    Hi Vivekraj,

I have trained to Prac level with Dr. Bolstad which included a week long program on RESOLVE. I would be happy to answer any specific questions you have. Additionally, there is also a DVD of a basic RESOLVE training as well as four dvds of sessions Dr. Bolstad had with clients using the model.
