    Free NLP Practitioner Course

Government financed NLP Practitioner course for people who are unemployed or under notice of redundancy

The NLP Academy has been involved in working closely with government organisations in offering NLP Training to people who are receiving social support.

We have been asked to run an NLP Practitioner course for people who could benefit from learning NLP to help them build a new career. The criteria for attendance is

    • Unemployed for UNDER 6 months
    • OR Under notice of redundancy
    • Living or working in the following boroughs
    1. Brent
    2. Ealing
    3. Hammersmith and Fulham
    4. Harrow
    5. Hillingdon
    6. Hounslow
The course will be seven days long supported by MultiMedia learning. Certification will be in the classic code of NLP. The programme will run early next year. The course will be led by an NLP Academy trainer (it won't be John Grinder)

The training fees are paid by the government if you fit the criteria above. You will have to go through an application process with the local authority.

I am pleased the NLP Academy is able to work with the government organisations and local authorities in helping unemployed people learn NLP without paying.

If you fit the criteria email the NLP Academy office on info@realnlp.co.uk or phone 020 8686 9952

    Regards

    Re: Free NLP Practitioner Course

    Hi Michael
    Sounds very interesting and worthwhile.

You say you have been approached by the local authorities.
I have a question, are they selecting people who will attend. If so on what criteria? I.e Do they have to attend? Do they have to prove in some way how they will use this experience?

I'm interested to learn how the local authorities will explain NLP to the prospective students?

I would be very interested to know what sort of motivation these students turn up with? The idea is very interesting. What outcomes are the local authorities wanting to see in return for the project as a success and are they intending to collect data accordingly?

    Regards

    Peter

    Re: Free NLP Practitioner Course

    Hi Pater

You say you have been approached by the local authorities.
We have several projects with different local authorities and government organistions. This is a new project - to run an NLP Practitioner course for people who live or work in West London who have lost their jobs or face job loss. The premise is re-training to enable people to take up a different career or have new skills that will help them in the job market.

I have a question, are they selecting people who will attend. If so on what criteria? I.e Do they have to attend? Do they have to prove in some way how they will use this experience?
They do not have to prove how they use the training. The criteria for attendance is in my first post.

I'm interested to learn how the local authorities will explain NLP to the prospective students?
Each person is interviewed to identify relevant skills required. The students can also request NLP based on different courses that are available as part of the overall project.

I would be very interested to know what sort of motivation these students turn up with?
Based on telephone interviews we conducted today, motivation doesn't seem high. The one exception was one candidate who no longer qualifies because she has found a job. This particular lady after finding a job paid for a practitioner training with another company.

    Re: Free NLP Practitioner Course

    Hi Michael
Thanks for the clarification to my questions.

It might help if the person at the local authority centre attends on one of the training's to get a full idea of what the course will provide them with. This way I'm sure having experienced one of your courses they will be in a much better position to sell with enthusiasm congruently the advantages to prospective students.

I know that when people pay for things their motivation levels are generally much higher. I wonder if they could repay somehow but in another form. Tasking maybe as a filter for the initial interview stage?

Maybe you could get someone to hold an open night for these potential attendees to attend and experience what this NLP thing is all about? It might be a way of kick-starting the motivation as you have lots of tools at your disposal to create these states I know you will quickly use them at the start of the course to get them enthused with new states but it seems as if the people who maybe need these skills the most might bot even get to the start of the course because of the state of mind they are currently in?

Please keep us informed of how all this develops as it is a very worthwhile cause.
    regards
    Peter

    Re: Free NLP Practitioner Course

    Hi Michael,
    hope you are well,
I would just like to say thank you for the training i recieved in March. It has been most beneficial to myself my employees and my clients.
Will the initiative be rolled out to different areas?
My business www.icanpersonaltraining.com currently offer fitness and lifestyle programmes to people who have been forced out of work due to sickness and health. We have a referal system from all the local gp's in Cheshire. The NLP project with a health and fitness add on would seem like a good marriage (health on the inside and out)

    Regards,

    Rufus.

    Re: Free NLP Practitioner Course

    Hi Rufus

Thank you for your kind words. Quite a few of your course colleagues were at John and Carmen's Healer Within event last week in London.
Keep up your good work with your colleagues and clients, NLP has a huge application for health and well being.

Re. providing training in the social sector, central government or the European Social Fund awards the funding to local authorities. The process of getting fund is complex.

Take a look at the European Social Fund's website and the Learning Skills Council site for a broader understanding.

European Social Fund: 2007-2013 Funding Opportunities

    Home

In essence you would apply to be a training provider and partner with your local authority.

We at the Academy are working on a great project in providing NLP training for young people under 19 who are 'Not in Employment or Training'. We are teaching core skills to give the learners the confidence and skills to get by in an interview.
    .

    All the best
